Dr. Juniper Simonis brings over 15 years’ experience in the fields of statistical, theoretical, and computational conservation biology to DAPPER.
Dr. Simonis studied Integrative Biology at the University of Illinois: Urbana-Champaign as an undergraduate (BS 2006) and obtained her PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Cornell University in 2013.
On the way to and since starting DAPPER Stats, Dr. Simonis has also been a Postdoctoral Fellow at Lincoln Park Zoo‘s Alexander Center for Applied Population Biology, a Biometrician at Cramer Fish Sciences, and a Data Analyst in the Weecology Lab at the University of Florida.
Outside of work, Dr. Simonis is a 4-time WFTDA champion with the Rose City Rollers’ Wheels of Justice, a lifelong percussionist, an avid urban farmer, and lover of jigsaw puzzles.
